How to cleanse crystals .

Crystals can take on negative energy from the would around them and hold on to it . It is always wise to cleanse crystals before and after you use them in any magick work or healing.There are many ways of doing this. I use different technique for different stones and what they will be used for .

• Sound..

use crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, Tuning forks, Gong. Direct the vibration of the sound instrument towards the crystal

• Salt water ..

I will use a glass bowl for this and spring water with sea salt . Letting the stones soak over night . Careful with this technique some stones are too soft for this and will dissolve in the water .

• running water ....

I will use this once a month with all the stones we have in the living areas of the house . In a glass bowl let running water just wash over them . See them being filled with clear clean light as the water washes away all the daily icky.

• Moon and sunlight...

In this one , take into account what the stone is and what you are going to be using it for .. Is it a stone that connects more with masculine energy or feminine energy . With both let the stone sit in the light over night ( or over day ) Careful with sun light on some stones it can cause fading . ( amethyst and rose quartz)

• Smudging..
  Using a smudge stick of a herb that is good for purifying ,sage works wonders, letting the smoke wash over the stone .

• salt..

Salt being one the best clearing substances on earth works great to clear a stone . Just in a bowl cove the stone with salt and let sit over night .

• Earth..

Crystals are from the earth they love the dirt. Burying them in the soil is a great way to clear out and let them rest , Be sure to remember where you bury them if you are going to use them again.
