Bran or Bran the Blessed , who’s name means crow was the son of llyr . He is a giant Man who with an army set out to avenge his sister .King Matholwch. the king blamed Branwyn for an insult at their wedding so treated her poorly. Bran and his arm were unstoppable , when they came to the Shannon River he used his body as a bridge for his men to cross . The only way to defeat Bran was to guess his name. Gwyddion was able to do this wining the battle. ( but he himself was killed in the battle )
Bran’s Troops then taking bran’s head(The Celts saw the head as the location of the soul) Back to their stronghold. It stayed there for eighty-seven years offering warnings and divinations, till it was taken to London so it could warn of invasion.
